20 Years of the Ultimate Summer AdventureTM

About

aca-logo-1Located in Glen Mills, Pennsylvania, Malvern Day Camp is the best kids’ camp in Delaware County providing families throughout the region a fun and safe environment every summer. Camper groups are structured according to age, grade level, or parent preference. Typically, our Mini Campers are between the ages of 5 and 6, Junior Campers are between 7 and 9 years old and the Senior Campers are 10 to 12 years old. The 13 and 14 year olds actively participate in a fun filled program and are also eligible to apply to our Counselor-In-Training (C.I.T.) program. Each camper group is led by two counselors and each activity is led by a specialist in that field. This, combined with small group size, keeps the camper to staff ratio at Malvern Day Camp exceptionally low.

Our camp is accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA). ACA is the leading authority and only nationwide organization that accredits camps. Camps that meet ACA accreditation standards provide an environment with a focus on health and safety, have caring, qualified and well trained staff, and offer a program that is appropriately challenging and developmentally sound with opportunities for leadership and personal growth.

Malvern Day Camp has been enriching the lives of children since it was opened by the founders of The Malvern School, a private early childhood education program with 27 schools located throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey. We are dedicated to educating young children ages six weeks to eight years through diverse and innovative programming. When choosing our school, families’ expectations are met through our commitment to providing the finest curriculum and staff, all in a nurturing environment. At The Malvern School your child will learn and feel loved. For more information, visit The Malvern School website today!

Staff

At Malvern Day Camp, our commitment to providing a superior camp program begins with our staff. Our summer camp counselors are educators, college students and other trained specialists with the expertise and dedication to offer the best possible instruction and attention to your child. Experienced, caring and dedicated, our extraordinary summer camp staff brings energy and maturity to surround your child in a highly supportive and safe environment.

At the start of each season, new and returning counselors and specialists participate in an intense orientation and a series of carefully planned training sessions, including First Aid and CPR Certification. Throughout the summer, counselors are continually evaluated to ensure they are following Malvern Day Camp and American Camp Association (ACA) high standards. Prior to hiring, all counselors are required to have criminal record, fingerprints and child abuse background checks performed.
